Target Audience

 Having a target audience for a film release will help you create a style of voice that really speaks to the audience, a target audience gieves the company a direction for your marketing and who you want to grab. It also ensures that you more consistently in your work, this helps to bring back the audience for future projects.

Having a target audience helps bringing in profit for the film, this is because having a certain group of people to aim your film at will reel them all into watch it and ultimately will help them create awareness when the people of the audience tell their friends and family about the film.

To attract a certain type of audience you need to think of the choices and conventions that will attract people. For example if your target audience were Male you would want to have hot girls, with cars, action, that are stereotypical to the gender. If it were female you would want hot guys and makeup
, a party maybe and a love story for the characters. You also want to thing of age with your film and what rating to give it and whether it is suitable for young people.

Our target audience are to a male audience. The conventions that show this in our opening sequence is the fight that takes place with our protagonist and antagonist, But this also may in some way be attracted to a female audience, as we have 2 male characters. The age limit i would say this film is targeted at would be around 15 year olds, with the amount of gore which we are going to show.
