The Genre of my first opening sequence would be Horror.
In my opening sequence, it will be set by a lake and a road surrounded by a wood known as Rellik Lake. It opens with a girl swimming in a lake secluded by birds chirping the sunny sky with a gentle breeze. The girl is enjoying a nice morning afternoon swim, she dunks her head under the water once and looks over to the land where her clothes are, she dunks under again and when she comes back up, there is a man standing one the land where her clothes are and she is greeted by him. There is a small amount of dialogue between them that creep the girl out. The girl tries to avoid the man and tries to enjoy her swim.
She dunks her head under the water one final time and the man has disappeared. she gets worried and quickly swims to shore and grabs her clothes and sprints through the forest to her old and rusty looking car. Where as she is about to drive off this secluded road where it cuts to behind her to show a knife in a hand on the backseat then to a blackout with a scream along with it.
The Narrative of this film would be from the perspective of the killer and always be focused on him. This man stays in the woods in what looks to be a run down shed
, where he watches this lake daily waiting for victims that he can take and torture. The lake has been given the name Rellik lake by the teens who have heard stories about this place as backwards you would find out in the film it says Killer lake. this film will focus on the Killers motif and what has lead him down this path and what it does for him seeing multiple victims suffer.
