Media prep My Favourite Film review

the film that I have loved since a very young age has been Titanic. The director of this film is the famous James Cameron and released the film in 1997. Only a year after its successful release it won many awards including the academy award for best picture.

 The main plot of this film besides the horrible disaster in the end the main plot is about a forbidden love affair, between a young women known as Rose Dewitt Bukater played by the actress Kate Winslet. The young man who is an artist lover and enjoys his drawing who managed to win a ticket aboard the titanic through a poker game his name is Jack Dawson played by.  Another crucial Character in this film is the man who Rose was supposed to marry who was Mr Calvert.

Why I fell in love with this film is for so many reasons the first reason why I found this so brilliant is with having a love story gives me more of an emotional toll after the crash showing how hard it was for rose to lose her true soulmate, who near the. Start off the voyage saved her life before falling into the Atlantic Ocean. 

One little theory that I have about the film which makes me love it that much more is that the necklace that Rose was given by Cal after we as the audience think that the ‘Heat of The Ocean’ was lost at the bottom of the ocean at the end of the film when we see Rose throw the necklace into the ocean, I think that James Cameron is trying to get a message across that Rose is throwing her heart into the ocean to finally be with Jack before she passes away, this would explain why we see that end 30 second clip of Jack and Rose getting married inside of the titanic to me this just feels like a very wholesome theory.

When I was very young about age six, I was taught about the Titanic’s history and me and my best friend George were very interested by the history and after school we went home to his house and spent about 4 hours learning about the history and watched the movie. To this day 10 years later I still manage to cry every time I watch it at the very beginning. 

The story off Jack and Rose makes me feel happy inside how two people were able to find each other on a ship and fall in love. I also love how the couple have to be very secretive and sneaky about what they do with each other as there isn’t many places, they could hide on a cruise ship to avoid Rose’s fiancé Cal. It almost makes me feel as I’m also emotionally involved with their relationship. James Horner did a incredible job with the sound track which had the perfect amount of suspense along with live and action which all interlink with each other very well.
